Treats in a Petite Boit {Box}

{for those of you who asked, the wrapped almond cookie is an Italian treat & I found them

at Marshall's, however dear ones I will post website of where I think you can get them.}

The Italian wrapped cookie treat is Amaretti Virginia 
and can be purchased through this distributor
{This shop calls them Amaretti Biscuits}

 

 Simply cut pretty paper and wrap around outside of box, use Japanese tape to 

secure.

Take a glassine bag scallop the edge and insert in box and then add some sweet treats.

***Those round wax seals, they are to inspire. Yes, you may stick them on the box.

Creativity knows no bounds. They now make wax for your glue gun, now that is dandy.

Here is a place for stick- on- wax seals & wax for your glue gun.

We love shredding scissors and use them for tissue paper.  Instant filler and fluffy-fluff.

Stamp a cute sticker and place on the lid. Secure lid with cute Japanese tape.

Simply cute.

Sweet Arrow Package{s} for Valentine's Day

Make it!

 Gather together all the parts & pieces!

Conversation Candy Hearts 

{Did you know Brach's now has ice cream flavor hearts?! Colors are pretty!}

*Pink mini tags

 *Silver snap tabs

*Toothpicks or small skewers

*Japanese washi tape

*Gold metallic tape {Tim Holtz makes some of this, however I'm waiting to hear

from a source so I can sell this amazing tape that I found! hang tight!

*Candy glassine bags {Bags are no longer available from this company
they have some like this that could work.}

*Tiny stamps {I love this brand, Studio G Alphabet Stamp Sets}

*Vintage brads or new brads {I keep an eye out on Ebay & Etsy for the solid brass vintage ones}

*Scalloped or pinking edge scissors

*Crop-a-dile

*Stazon stamp pad {my favorite brand of stamp pads}

*Card stock {I used cream}

 Cut desired size of rectangle for bottom of arrow, fold in half and notch your ends.

{Folding in half makes your points even, unfold when done cutting}

The left arrow {bottom piece} is only notched on the bottom

the right arrown {bottom piece} is notched on top & bottom.

Both ways are just fine!

 Cover completely with Japanese washi tape. Fold over onto back and

clip tape when necessary so it keeps the card-stock shape.

 Use multiple patterns & colors of tape. Layer and have fun with it.

Glue point and end of arrow onto your toothpick.

 Fill candy into bag.

 Fold over and use decorative scissors to cut pretty edging.

Use the Crop-a-dile and punch a hole in center top of bag.

 Stamp initial onto silver snap tabs.

 Insert into hole you punched in bag and fold and snap it together.

Stamp pink tag with a favorite stamp of yours.

{The "To:" stamp is found in this set}

Punch a hole in the bag, very bottom center.

 Put tag hole over the bag hole and insert brad through the holes.

Fold out brad ends on the back.

 Now you're ready to attach your arrow.

 Cut strip of metallic tape {or Japanese tape}

and secure arrow on the bag.

Little arrow bags of candy are ready for a "quiver" of lovely friends.

CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT

ASSEMBLAGE ART

I'm in charge of the kindergarten class craft for the Christmas party and worked on idea number one. I suppose this is quite intricate, but it suits me and now I want to make 15 or so of them. Using  a medley of vintage animal graphics of course. It was crafted entirely of things I had on hand.  If I use this idea for Luke's class will keep it more simple, with 28 kids can't get to detailed :)

 

*quick overview not necessary in order just to give you an idea{s}*

{can be adjusted to whatever you have on hand}

1. Ruffled, natural coffee filters, cut into points with pinking scissors. I folded the coffee filter in half first, then cut the points. Another filter was cut into a smaller circle & layered behind music paper circle.
2. Velvet ribbon cut into a banner and glued at bottom of music paper.
3. Deer picture copied onto cardstock then cut into a circle
4. Brass bell sew onto the velvet ribbon.
5. Gold dresden "V" for Vivian. Now on a mission to find a lion for Luke & a zebra for Zach!
6. Silver glass glitter
7. Torn & crumpled Bible verse. {I tore it on a aluminum foil box's cutter to give a vintage look}
8. Deep pink ribbon and thin gold mettalic ribbon on the hook
9. Brown covered florist wire {love this, comes in green too} for the hook or loop. I shaped the wire hook to look pretty as you can see it. I found this at Joannes a while back {floral section} and glad I had it on hand. The texture is more fun than just a plain wire.
10. Vintage music paper
{On the back I just layered a circle of card stock {ends of wire hook staple to the front of back circle card stock} for more stability and finished it with a circle of music paper.
11. Japanese making tape in gold/white stripes, I couldn't resist adhering a piece to the deer picture.
12. Of course I used this must have tool to attach the wire loop.

Now, I do think I found the perfect tree.....if it's still there!!

 

 

While at my favorite digging place I found a song book and on the cover was this......swoon. I made copies and now need to get it on Etsy.

Kara has been working in the yard, a lot. Darcy has been putting up food from her garden. We enjoy our creator's goodness in nature, the beauty in plants leaves us speechless. The food we receive from them is an incredible blessing...............

The weather up until Saturday has been amazingly beautiful, low humidity & perfect for gardening.

4th of July Creative Endeavor

I spotted these coin rolls a while back & purchased them thinking

they were quirky for other uses than just "rolling coins"

Wal-mart carries bags of each coin increment so you can choose the

colors you like best. I love the red 1 cent & blue 5 cent.

They are cheap, a dollar or two a bag for many rolls in each.

{Let's make a 4th of July garland}

I then used my cute cupcake liners purchased from

specialty online bake supply shops. These are

pink/cream & red/cream.

I found 1" grosgrain ribbon in my stash and tied a knot on

one end leaving an ample length to string my goodies.

I flattened out the cupcake liners, poked a hole in the middle and put three liners together:

red, pink, red liners

next, red coin roll,

then pink, red, pink liners

then strung a blue coin roll & so on.

Keep stringing until you have desired length.

I haven't finished a complete garland yet so I

decided Mrs. dress form needed a quirky collar.

Why not? She looks festive for any party this 4th.
The coin rolls almost look "fire cracker-ish"!
