Zach's 3rd Birthday Party {2/1/12}

Wednesday, February 1, 2012

 I made the cake! {The recipe is a keeper.}
Thank you Camille Styles!
Cupcakes with Martha Stewart's Chocolate Ganache Frosting recipe.
*Easy recipes*

 Banners waving!

 Arrow stuck in the cake {with a cute fortune tucked on top.}
It had a really sweet saying on it and couldn't resist!

 Shopkeeping style--old cash register drawer. {I've had this for 12 years now!}
The drawer is filled with fortune cookies, wooden spoons, straws and of course party blowers.
 Luke had started a canvas and his background colors fit in perfectly.
Plain & simple lunch bags for treats and vintage roll of fabric to tie them up.
I always have a zillion detail ideas and only about a fraction of them get accomplished
{anyone else like that?}
 It's a party--the pennants are strung!

See those cute little jugs of juice; they are from Dollar Tree.
The twine; it's from a clothesline, red/white and from Dollar Tree.
{looks like thick bakery twine!}

They also have the clothesline in a green/white & blue/white combo;
 just cut it apart and tie up gift packages.

 We are blessed to have you Zach.....

@ 1:09 pm-- it was a sweet moment when the nurse said
you had red hair!
You make us laugh Zach Ellington!

Gotta run, Matt is picking up Chinese, yum!

Tomorrow I have more Valentine's Day crafting....

The Royal Trumpets {Tweet}

Thursday, April 21, 2011

I'm sure if you are reading the news you know about the soon-to-be royal couple. I can remember the flurry around his mother's wedding and my husband thinks I'm officially cuckoo.

I'm really am more interested in Kate's mother's business, called Party Pieces! They ship to us across the pond! Some of it is too kid-friendly, {ha} but some of the British things are really cute!! I can't figure out how to display the pics, so I will just post links to some of the highlights.

A. These collage girlie British napkins my #1 favorite. They even have a scalloped edge!
B. Union Jack paper chain.
C. Union Jack cake cases.
E. 16 ft of Best of British Bunting.

Hope all of you had a Merry Christmas!

Valentine's Day Party

Thursday, February 14, 2008

Thank you Jill & Jessica for the lovely Valentine's party...........

The fun touches of "McMaster &
Storm" were everywhere. Jill made everything in her home special for us. We also spied crown place card holders from Abby's store, The Blissful. Kara & Darcy went home with a sugar high thanks to Jessica who made cookies and to Jill for the other sweet treats. (Ok, they did serve healthy things as well, we did eat a spinach salad) Kara confessed to Darcy on the way home that she dug into Luke's treat bag and gobbled down 2 of the fun dip sticks......took Kara back down memory lane to Gilland's pool in Verona, Ohio where she would buy these. A warm memory on a brrrr, cold day. AND then, yes Jessica, Kara ate the Clark bar, from Jessica's son Clark, when she got home. She's such a good mom preventing her son Luke from eating all that sugar. We throughly enjoyed our "girls out sweet treat lunchy, lunch" with all of you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We love you all.
