In Our Book Brach's Conversation Hearts are the Best!

We're smitten by these little hearts, a childhood memory & a favorite at

Valentine's Day. We have tried other companies like Necco and they don't compare

to the easy to bite into, more flavor {not chalk like} Brach's hearts.

Brach's brand is very hard to find.......

why I don't know. We found them at Kroger's a grocery store.

Most pharmacies stock the Necco brand.

Anyway since Kara's expecting she's having no problem

plowing through a bag! {shhhh}

Seaside Confections Since 1885

Seaside confections have been uploaded for a little bit, just never posted on our blog. These have been a hit in the store! Yummy salt water taffy that promises "sea air and sunshine sealed in every box"! These will sure to be a memory maker in our tent at Country Living Fair!

The Butter Mint Rolls are a prize winner too! Melt in your mouth old fashioned-lots-of-butter-y-mint and your hooked! Vintage style pics on rectangle shaped boxes are sure to please.

Dreaming of the ocean today in the Midwest! May the thought of these summer-y tastes take you back to the boardwalks!

November 9th -11th event in Bexley, Ohio: Jeffrey Mansion

Contrary to previous post this "Shop Hop" event was to benefit:
The Shop Hop raises funds for scholarships for programs offered through Bexley Recreation to children from Bexley and surrounding neighborhoods.

Thanks to Victoria Zamensky & Karen Page for organizing this event, your efforts were well received. Bless you! We enjoyed our weekend at the Jeffrey Mansion. We will see you next year!

One morning we rose early to take pictures of the amazing older homes

in front of her home. She made motion of a camera with her hands.
We laughed, she was smiling & waving. This was one of our favorites!!

1,2,3 let the countdown begin!

We're having visions of a sweet Christmas swirled with soft shades and a sprinkle of nutmeg in our store; displays of gifts to give. Yes, that's what Christmas is all about, giving. King of Kings, Lord of all! He gave us the ultimate gift, Jesus Christ. Celebrating Christmas in our "petite department store" style, Jesus didn't come in a big way, no commercialism, just a simple stable. I want our store to be a quiet reflection of this time of year, the real meaning! And, no Santa isn't invited, to this day, we have avoided this figure in our retail boutique. Frankly, there is no room for him in our inn! We want our store to be a place to get gifts for your special ones and to hear "God Bless you this Christmas Season".

Counting down the days of our Christmas open house, November 1st thru 3rd. Our party begins at dusk, Thursday evening as we un-veil our windows for our customers. Expect to hear strains of sheep baaing in an alpine village, a rainstorm and a medley of natures greatest hits. Did I hear a cuckoo clock? Your invited to a Woodland Christmas Party and want to celebrate with you the real meaning of Christmas. May God Bless each of you and despite the busy-ness of the season, remember to Crown Him, Crown Him, Lord of all this Christmas 2007....He is still the same yesterday, today & tommorow.

Jeni's Ice Cream to be at McMaster & Storm

Jeni's Ice Cream, of Columbus, Ohio, will be at McMaster & Storm in Greenville, Ohio on Saturday June 9th. Jeni will be serving her famous ice cream. Jeni offers flavors such as Bartlett Pear and Riesling Sorbet, Salty Caramel, and Butterscotch with Cocoa Nibs, to name a few.
