Our Brick & Mortar Storefront is Bidding all Adieu

2009 is fast approaching and it will be a new beginning for us. We are closing our store in Greenville, Ohio. We still will have our "petite department store" online- www.mcmasterandstorm.com & we will set up at events like the Country Living fair. Some other ideas are brewing in our heads as well. As many of you know Kara is expecting her 2nd little one Feb. 11 and she wants a slower lifestyle while her children are young. They keep ya bus-y!
We have been blessed with friendships with other store owners and will continue to keep in touch with you all. We promise we won't disappear completely!
There will be our back room sale starting this Friday from 10-5. We will be selling props, display pieces and lots more. I will post pics of display pieces later today. Also, there is an in store sale going on as well. We will be open through January 31st.

Note: Staplers are on there way to the shop. They should be here shortly and there will be no discounts on these.

  2. Hello girls.
I feel so blessed to have gotten to know you both over the last few years and know how hard this decision was.
I'm grateful to have at least seen how beautiful your wonderful brick and mortar was.
Wishing you wonderful steps in a new direction....

  4. Awwwww, selfishly I am so sad as I never got to visit. But rejoicing for the wonderful choice for Kara--little people over bricks and mortar. A fine choice indeed! And I know your online store will continue to delight, hope you keep the blog, and look forward to seeing you at Country Living again. Godspeed in everything!

  6. I would just like to copy and paste what Abby said...she always has the perfect words.

I am kicking myself for not breaking away from my own retail responsibilities to make it to your shop. Monique K. was just in a few weeks ago having been to your shop earlier in the day and shared with me about your beautiful packaging and eye candy all through out your shop. I just know it is gorgeous. I wish you and your families peace and treasured moments in the new year.

  7. Hi Girls!

I was very sad to hear of McMaster and Storms store (on land) bidding adieu. It was always a fun place to come. You girls have much talent and creativity, I am sure you will find many other ways to release those talents and the best part is getting to spend more time with those gorgeous children. God's Blessings on this new season in your lives.

  8. Wow! I'm shocked!! Your place will be missed, I'm sure! BUT! Great that you will still be around online -- I've been doing the "online-thing" for 10 years and its just great and very managable when you have small children. Congratulations on choosing to do what's best for the family. Kudos! :)

  9. Kara and Darcy,
I know this decision had to be a hard one. I hope this is a wonderful transition for you both and you enjoy this sweet time with the children. Kara, I can't wait to see pictures of your baby! I can't imagine that someday you won't have a store again...creativity just pours out of your. Until then I will just have to shop with you online.

  10. Gosh, I'm so sorry to hear about your closing the store, but I know you had to think long and hard. I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision, but for a new baby and your children...well worth it! I'm hoping you'll let us know about the baby. I hope you'll keep us informed, Kara! I wish you both blessing for a wonderful 2009!
