Here we go again....

We know you all our very tired of us talking about our e-commerce but you have been inquiring and here is an update.

1. This past Saturday Kara sat glued to the computer {between customers} trying to comprehend configuring products. That means when you have a product that has multiple color selections, sizes, blah, blah, blah. I honestly thought I could never master this but as Winston Churchill stated once "Never, never, never, never give up!" {the quote is something like that} I plugged away and by 5:00pm I had mastered this feat. The web guy was able to work on putting more of our web page design into some foreign code that I'm not even going to try to understand. This shop girl can only handle so much.

2. We want to be up and running soon like next Monday but the web guy gave me a funny look so now I'm not sure. BUT, we're setting a launch date with him and no, if ands or buts. We're going to set a date of Friday, May 10th. That is absolutely what we must shoot for. Many things are in place and really just a few odds and ends and we're ready, oh ever so ready.

3. Thank you for your patience!

4. Thank you for the kind get well wishes for Darcy. She is feeling better and after a slew of tests which revealed no bad cells {yay} we can breathe a sigh of relief. They still want a complete scan of her misbehaving organ just to make sure.

Ohhhhh lovely day!

Once again the Lord has provided us with lovely sunshine {a much needed medicine for the soul}
a wonderful breeze brushes your cheeks as you step out, distance roar of the tractors in the fields, and the ever so wonderful twitting songs of birds.The sun makes me want to whistle a beautiful little tune. {trouble is my six year old actually can whistle better than I, sad I know}
I do believe Kara and I have come down with a virus {carrier; apple computer} The doctors tests now show a new and rare form of illness, they call it websititis. Symptoms may vary from patient to patient. The doctor prescribed the highest dose of R&R {a complete remedy for all that ails you.} And believe you me , we did laugh @ that one, and when I might add do you suppose the reality of that may transpire? REST hah, who in their right mind came up with that one?! What really is a cure all?! I scream, you scream, we ALL need JENI'S SLENDID ICECREAM. I feel a road trip in the making. Until then...

A Beautiful Spring Day

The store looked lovely when I came to work. Baby tears tucked into vibrant pink tissue. Our French Girl statue had a veil of pink around her neck and our petite fleurs tucked into her hands.
French silk fabric draped in the windows-striped with hues of raspberry pink, blue and reds. I have had the door propped open and am loving the beautiful warm day.

On another note please pray for Darcy as she is going through some tests and hasn't been feeling all that well. We'll find out more on Wednesday. Please send her a get well note.

Country Living Fair 2008

Hello,

We know I can't believe we are talking about this already but in the retail world one always is planning ahead. Yes, we know we are still going to accomplish this website launch very shortly. {we promise}

BUT, the Country Living fair is in early September in Columbus, Ohio and we are excited about it. Rumor has it's going to be grand. We now have the application in our hands and are debating our tent size. We thought we would do a 10x10 but now we're wondering if we should go bigger, just slightly.
Thanks, Liz from down in Savannah for making us wonder about the size....we can't wait to see you! Oh, well we just might stick with a 10x10 you all know how we like to stuff it full and piled high.

Warm Saturday Greetings!

We are make headway! We have about 10 more items to upload, then onto working on working on.....
Soon we need the techie guy to make sure all this "clicks" together. Then we should be rolling and finally online. Wow, we now have established another part of our brain to recognize the two stores we'll be running: brick-and-morter and e-commerce. It's been a crazy, dizzy ride.

We know you have all been very patient for this, thank you for the encouragement and the cheering us on. There is a lot to this venture, more than we thought and when it's all said and done it will be an exciting addition to the storefront location in our "middle of nowhere" city of
Greenville.

I think today we'll take a antiquing jaunt, Sara offered to help today at the store {thank you} and it's a much needed break for both of us shop girls.

We're working

No, we haven't been napping!
We flew around the store Friday evening to get the store "fluffed" for a group of women on Saturday. We huffed & puffed and the job got done.
We don't have time to sit for a spell as with running a physical storefront and getting ready to launch e-commerce, well enough said.

This week's list is long but we have a goals to accomplish and no if, ands or buts we need to get this "project" done. We'll keep you posted!
