Love, Kara & Darcy from NYC

We're here having a ball here in the city! The last two days have been so exciting as we have found wonderful new things for the shop. AND we made it to ABC Carpet & Home, well worth our time (& taxi fare)!

Have you seen Country Living, March issue2008? Well-- we are in there--- amazing & humbling. We were walking down the street here in NYC and a Borders comes into view, "should we stop & see if it's there?". So we did and after rearranging their magazine racks we found it, and on page 44 there is the title McMaster & Storm.
(yah, yah, Ryan you were right)

To all of you who support and love our store, a hearty Midwest thank you. Now pass the mashed potatoes around (please). Come see us anytim

Our home page is up with shopping coming soon......www.mcmasterandstorm.com

I read your blog often; I own a shop with a similar sensibility and it's always fun and inspiring to see what you are up to. (perchhome dot com) I'm at the gift fair this week too; I wonder if we've passed in the aisles! Anyhow it was lovely to curl up with Country Living last night after walking Javitz all day and see your faces and blog featured.

ABC Home is directly across the street from my old office and is the reason I was inspired to open my own store. It's a amazing! Enjoy New York and as everyone seems to say during Gift Week, "Have a good show!"

Hi Kara and Darcy,

I saw your mention in Country Living. I live in Southern California and I can't wait to digest the magazing the minute it arrives in my mailbox. When I saw your store, I had to check out your blog asap! Your store is amazing! I wish I lived near OHIO so that I could stop in on my "way to nowhere" - such a great tag line by the way! Anyway, just wanted to say congratulations on what looks like an amazing store! I love reading about other women who have started a business that they are passionate about, and who have made it into something tremendous! If I'm in Ohio, I'll stop in.

Thanks for the inspiration! - Amanda Bevington

Congratulations on your feature in Country Living! Did Kara own the Paris Flea Market in CA? I loved that store and always wondered if she would open a new store in the area. I will now look forward to your online store. I still love my fabulous feather topiaries.

Congratulations on your feature in Country Living. I love the look of your shop and SO GLAD to see you're in Ohio!! Next stop from your blog page is Google maps to work out a road trip from my shop to yours! I'm jealous that you got to go to ABC Home though...hearing it's a great place for inspiration, but your place looks just as inspiring! Thank you for sharing your talents with us. Mashed potatoes? Pass that gravy around too! Biscuits?

I can't wait to get my copy of CL. The web site looks like a lovely expression of your aesthetic. I eagerly await it's debut. It was so nice seeing you girls in the big city. The days got away from me so I am sorry we never got to share a meal. I am so happy to see you got to explore some of my favorite stops. Knee deep in Christmas decorations here, Country Home comes on Tuesday. It is a little hard to imagine decorating the shop for Easter while setting a wintery scene for the photo shoot at home. I will let you know how it goes. xoxo

Wow, many congratulations on making the magazine. I think this issue has been one of the best I've seen in awhile. I'm going to do a blog post on ya'll later in the day!! I love the fact that you are trying to give your customers the feel of the old department stores. Just wished I lived closer.

I also discovered you through the March 2008 Country Living magazine. Your business card is gorgeous - especially the calligraphy. I'll definitely be checking in to see what's new.

Congratulations.

many many congrats and lovely blessings on your wonderful write-up in Country Living! What an excitement! It led me to your blog...and I look forward to your online shop opening.

I am living in Cleveland {from Texas} and would love to venture down to "nowhere" soon. I started a children's web-tique when we moved here a few years ago...www.TeacupsandTadpoles.com. You are bound to love and be humbled by how far your wares will now reach across the country...and the world! Enjoy the ride!
